In short, he is very much a Hall of Famer— through his deep contributions as a steward, commentator, judge, mentor, and executive in preserving boxing’s legacy and supporting its athletes.

After retiring from competition, Santana pivoted to business, founding Bay Cities Paving Company in 1989.
