LOS ANGELES, July 25th, 2024 - - Lifelong Angelino and rising thespian, Autumn Rose, announces her music debut with reimagined cover to the popular anthemic song, My R.
Nearly 10 years ago, Autumn Rose and millions around the world were remarkably moved by the lyricism to the Japanese released song, My R. Originally sung by Kurage-P and the iconic Hatsune Miku, this vocaloid told the story of a lone narrator ideating suicide, but as her luck would have it, always found her attempts interrupted by the suicide ideation of her fellow students. And with every encounter, the narrator is the one to talk them off ledges.
Its 2016 English cover alone, performed by Rachie, has grossed 20 million views on YouTube, and continues to be a lighthouse of hope for those most in need of it. Now, with National Suicide Prevention Week spanning September 8th-14th, Autumn Rose pays it forward with the first-ever liveaction music video to the song. And this time, with
her own vocals and harmonies.
Rose isn’t alone in her efforts. Like any great trailblazer, her contributions have caught the attention of An Unplanned Milestone stars Evelyn Wan and Dylan Sartor and Wong Fu actress, Rachel Park, who all play crucial roles in the music video. My R, performed by Autumn Rose, is produced in association with BYATB Studios, directed by the award-winning Christian Alan, and premieres Friday August 30th at the BYATB Mental Health & Media mixer at Cerritos College, simultaneous with its release onto @sadautumnrose YouTube and Spotify.
